WATER AND SEWER

Within the city limits, the City of Prineville provides both water and sewer services. New residents must go directly to City Hall to have these services turned on. Prineville receives its drinking water from the Prineville Reservoir.

Powell Butte, Juniper Canyon and the other unincorporated areas of Crook County are dependent on well-water and septic systems. For information on wells and septic systems, contact the Crook County Environmental Health Department at 541-447-8155.

ELECTRIC

Residents are served by one of two electric companies depending upon where they live: Central Electric Co-op (541-447-5321) or call Pacific Power Company at (888-221-7070).

GAS

Natural gas is widely available in the region and is supplied for residents and business by Cascade Natural Gas Corporation. To turn gas on or off call 888-522-1130.

GARBAGE

There is weekly garbage service both within the city limits and in Crook County. Prineville Disposal serves City and County residents. For more information, contact Prineville Disposal at 541-447-5208.

The following providers provide high-speed internet service to business and residents in Prineville and Crook County. A self-healing fiber optic network provides redundancy for telecommunications in Crook County. Quest provides the telecom system backbone via fiber from Redmond.
